Key dates for your transition to Microsoft Fabric
Microsoft is making significant updates to Power BI Premium licensing, primarily through integrating with Microsoft Fabric, which was released last year. As a result, Microsoft will be retiring the Power BI Premium Per Capacity SKUs (P-SKUs) from 2025.
1st July 2024
Must purchase F-SKUs, Power BI Premium SKUs no longer available to buy for new customers
1st January 2025
Power BI Premium per capacity customers without an Enterprise Agreement (EA) must transition to Microsoft Fabric at the time of their next renewal
1st January 2025
Customers with an existing Enterprise Agreement can renew their Power BI Premium capacity until the agreement ends. If the EA ends on or after this date, they must transition to Fabric capacity
